Nothing is set in stone when it comes to our event planning—we’re constantly redefining how it’s done. Whatever you vision, style, background or budget may be, our compact, agile team gives us the flexibility to tailor each and every experience to your needs.

At JPO, no matter who you are or where you come from, you can celebrate in your own way.

Our Three Promises

Transparency

Before we build an event, we need to build your trust. We want to create a comfortable relationship with you, so that we can work together to help crystalize your vision.

Quality

No task is too big or too small. We work on your terms to deliver a seamless experience with the highest quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship we can offer.

Respectfulness

Diversity is our strength. We always keep an open mind and are willing to listen and learn.

Our Actions

As an events and food business, creating community is at the heart of what we do. We believe that everyone has a seat at the table, and that a brand is only as strong as its actions. That’s why we’ve taken the following initiatives to actively support our community.

Internship Programs

Nurturing young talent is an investment in our future. We typically accept one paid intern per semester, who gets a holistic experience of the business from sales and marketing to catering and live event management. In addition, we also schedule one-on-one mentorship meetings with the company founder and assign one big project that builds upon a school subject of choice.

Discounts & Donating Space

We try our best to support non-profit organizations by offering discounts on both our venue rental and catering rates. In addition, we will consider a select number of event space donations each year. Please contact our event planner for more details.

Buying from Local & Small Businesses

When possible, we try to buy our products from local, small or independently owned businesses. For example, we use one bakery for bread and another for pastries, both of which only serve the New York area. Same goes for any specialty products we do not make in-house, like chocolate, coffee, gourmet popcorn, and even boozy ice cream.

No Waste Kitchen Policy

Zero waste starts with the development and selection of menus. We take into consideration the amount of waste the dish will generate, only keeping items that produce less trash. Whether it’s putting the ends of vegetables or scraps of salmon fillets to good use,  we’re mindful of controlling kitchen waste by letting nothing go to waste. Last but not least, whenever we end up with excess food, we make sure it’s donated.

Sustainable Packaging

We’re serious about decreasing the serious amount of single-use plastics used at events. Where possible, we try to offer reusable beverage and food containers. Our eco-friendly, custom hardwood boxes double as a transportation box and serving tray. For when we do use plastic, we try our best to source compostable, recyclable products that are made from sustainable materials such as sugarcane.

College Guest Speaking

Once a semester, our founder appears as a guest speaker at an academic institution. The lecture is usually tailored to the students’ course work and professor’s request, with interactive activities and a Q&A session. Notable collaborations include Montclair State University’s Hospitality Food and Beverage Program and Framingham State University’s Entrepreneurship Program.
